Climate change has become a looming environmental threat in the past decades and more people are becoming aware of it. According to Pew Research January 2020 Survey, 64% of US adults believe that environmental protection should be the top priority for the president and Congress. Also, the October 2019 survey showed that at least 62% of them say that climate change is somewhat affecting their local communities.

Despite the increased popularity of climate change mitigation, a lot of people are still confused about the topic and actions that need to be taken to prevent it.

What is the Paris Agreement?

The Paris Agreement is an international treaty on climate change that was enacted on November 4th, 2016.

The goal, adopted by 196 countries at the Conference of Parties in Paris, was to limit global warming to 1.5 degrees Celsius, compared to pre-industrial levels.
