I love to learn new things every day and social media is one of my favorite sources. I enjoy the news sections of big publications, the Today I Learned subreddit, and numerous accounts on Instagram.

For that same reason, I follow famous dermatologists and other doctors for best skincare advice and one thing that I kept seeing over and over again in their personal routines was retinol. Every single one suggested retinol as a must have ingredient in their nightly skincare. So, I asked myself the question. What is retinol and should I use it? And here is what I found.

What is Retinol?
